This month we did not test running shoes but running pants from Fusion. It is a long tight, nice for longer legs. We tell you about the brand, the fit and of course what we thought of the tight. 
Fusion
But first a little background information. Fusion is a Danish company that has been making high-quality clothing for triathletes, cyclists and runners since 1999. With their own factory in Europe, they ensure that they can deliver the best possible products. They only work with OEKO-TEX® materials and are Bluedesign® certified. This ensures that the substances used (such as dye) are not harmful to the body and the environment.
Fusion makes various tights, especially suitable for running.
- The Fusion C3+ Long Tight – tights that can be worn almost all year round.
- The Fusion C3+ Long Tight – a unisex model, also available as a specific women's model.
– In addition, the unisex series includes a X-long model available which has four cm. extra leg length. This is especially a nice option for runners with longer legs.
The tight
Fusion uses a fabric made up of two layers. The inner layer is comfortably soft and transports perspiration directly to the outer layer. This layer spreads the perspiration over a larger surface, allowing it to evaporate faster.
The Fusion C3+ Long Tight has three pockets on the left, right and back of the pants. The large side pockets are big enough to store gels, flat water bottles or a phone. These items stay in place thanks to the elastic band at the top of the pocket. There is a smaller pocket on the back. This is mainly suitable for keys and possibly an extra gel or energy bar.
What do we think?
RunX Haarlem tested these tights. “As soon as you put on the tights you immediately notice that the tights feel comfortable. The fit is good. With my long legs, tights are often too short. The X-long version is a welcome solution for me. You feel that the pants fit a bit tighter around your legs compared to other brands. This is due to the Compressor3 fabric. This fabric provides light compression, without being annoying.
The pockets can be filled well, without it feeling uncomfortable. In addition, it is nice that you have your phone within reach and that you can put it back in the pocket without too much effort. The soft, high waistband is comfortable. On the inside of the band is a cord to tighten the pants a little more, if necessary. Nice detail: the ends of the cord are tied together so that you never accidentally pull it loose.
It is clear that these trousers have been well thought out. For example, the trousers have extra strong stitching in 24 places. This makes the trousers extra wear-resistant on the stitching seams.
